GIF Flickering

I am trying to create a scoreboard that uses animated gifs as player avatars but when I upload them they start flickering (example below) and it just looks bad, I assume this is some sort of storage or compression issue and I was just wondering if there was some sort of work around I could use to clean it up? Thanks in advance

It looks fine outside of the attachment window.

The original image (and the original versions of the other images with the same problem) are fine, it just seems to be something in the upload process to the image library that causes the flickering

The image is processed using PHP's ImageMagick. It's known to have problems with animated GIFs. Try imgur to store your images if absolutely necessary.
